Today we, the united former employees of Gerry Esposito for City Council, filed a formal complaint with the New York City Campaign Finance Board. In addition to our complaints regarding our illegal pay cut, we also felt it our moral obligation to notify the board of possible misappropriation of campaign funds, hiring of minors without proper working papers, and lack of bookkeeping in regards to campaign expenditure.
As of Friday, September 28th, the Esposito Campaign has deleted its email address and stopped returning phone calls from former employees. We still hope for a fair and expedient resolution to our owed wages, however, the actions taken by Gerry Esposito, Morgan Pehme, and Evan Burr at this point do not seem to indicate a willingness to work together in a fair and honest way.
